Dr. Aubree Smithey, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS, is a dedicated physical therapist with over 13 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. She is a certified TPI Medical L3 and certified Fitness L2 Specialist, helping golfers improve movement efficiency, reduce pain, and enhance performance. Before becoming a physical therapist, Aubree worked as an athletic trainer at San Diego State University and other local schools, developing a deep understanding of injury prevention and rehabilitation for athletes at all levels.
As a former Division I athlete and an advocate for women’s sports, Aubree brings firsthand experience and professional expertise to her practice. She remains active in sports as an avid basketball player, golfer, and head girls’ basketball coach at San Dieguito Academy, mentoring young athletes both on and off the court. Aubree sees herself as a functional movement specialist, integrating knowledge from certifications in Functional Capacity Screen (FCS), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) to provide a comprehensive, movement-based approach to rehabilitation with integration of manual therapy techniques. She is passionate about helping individuals restore function, return to the activities they love, and thrive in an active lifestyle.
